BASE MOVEMENT · HOW TO DO IT
Neck Flexion
Start lighter and use less range than you think you need. The rep should stay smooth from beginning to end.
- 01Set up
Lie with the head supported near the end of a bench and begin with no load or very light hand resistance.
- 02Move
Gently tuck the chin, then nod the head forward through a small smooth range.
- 03Finish
Stop before the jaw tightens or symptoms appear, and return slowly to the starting position.

More about this movement
NECK / 57
Neck Flexion
Sets: 2–3 · Reps: 10–20
Train the front of the neck through a small, deliberate range.
Short range: Short range means the target muscle finishes squeezed in its shortened position.
WHY IT EARNS A SPOT
Own the position,
then earn the load.
Supported neck flexion lets the deep and superficial flexors shorten against light resistance without turning the movement into a full-body effort.
